Frequently Asked Questions
Which magnification and objective size is right for me?
The first number is magnification and the second is the objective lens size in millimeters. Higher magnification shows more detail but is harder to hold steady, and bigger objectives gather more light at dawn and dusk but add weight. 8x42: the widest field of view in the lineup (393 ft at 1,000 yds) and the steadiest image, ideal for whitetails in the timber, turkey hunting and anyone new to glassing. 10x42: the best all-around size, light enough to carry all day with enough power for fields and food plots. 10x50: extra light gathering for the first and last minutes of legal light from a stand or blind. 12x50: more reach for big fields, pastures and cutlines where you need to judge antlers farther out; best braced on a rail or tripod.
What is the difference between Crossfire HD and Diamondback HD?
Both are waterproof, fogproof and backed by the VIP warranty. Crossfire HD is the entry-level line with nitrogen purging and an HD optical system, while Diamondback HD steps up to dielectric prism coatings, phase correction, ArmorTek lens protection and argon purging for a brighter, sharper image and slightly lighter weight.
What comes in the box?
Each Crossfire HD includes a GlassPak binocular harness, comfort neck strap, tethered objective lens covers, rainguard eyepiece cover and lens cloth, all backed by the Vortex VIP unlimited, unconditional lifetime warranty.
