The Vortex Viper HD 5-25x50 FFP is a long-range hunting and precision scope with the glass and features to make the most of a flat-shooting rifle. Its first focal plane VMR-4 reticle keeps holdover and wind marks accurate at every magnification, and exposed turrets with RevStop zero stop let you dial confidently and return to zero every time.
The HD optical system with extra-low dispersion glass and XR coatings delivers a sharp, bright image at 25x, while side-focus parallax adjustment down to 20 yards keeps it crisp at any distance. Choose MOA or MRAD to match your turrets and ballistic app. Backed by the Vortex VIP unlimited, unconditional lifetime warranty.

Frequently Asked Questions
Should I pick MOA or MRAD?
Choose the system you already use. If your other scopes, ballistic app or shooting partners use MOA, stay with MOA; if you shoot PRS-style matches or prefer metric holds, choose MRAD. Turrets and reticle always match.
Is a 5-25x50 too much for hunting?
It is ideal for open-country, mountain and long-range hunting from a rest, where precise holds and 25x magnification matter. At 5x it still offers a 23.6 ft field of view at 100 yards for closer shots.
What does first focal plane mean?
The reticle scales with magnification, so each hash mark covers the same distance on the target at any power, keeping holds and ranging accurate whether you are on 5x or 25x.
